Awards Given At Friends Of Hixson Community Breakfast

The Friends of Hixson January Community Breakfast Meeting was held last Wednesday at Creeks Bend Golf Club.  The speaker was Kim White, president and CEO of River City Company. She spoke on “Why is Downtown Important”. Community awards were presented at the meeting.

The Community Impact Award was presented to CBL and Associates for their revitalization of Northgate Mall by improving the infrastructure, recruitment of new businesses and jobs. Accepting on behalf of CBL were Dan Summerlin, director of Corporate Relations and Steve Banks, general manager of Northgate Mall.

Hixson resident Jerry Jones was awarded a Community Impact Award for his leadership in representing the Hixson community with the Highway 153 development project.
