Anita Gannaway Shipley, 92, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area, she was of the Church of Christ faith. She was passionate about flower gardening, especially tending daylilies and irises.
Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edward Shipley; parents, Graydon Earl and Mamie Leona Gallaway Gannaway; son, Carl Edward Shipley; sister, Agnes Brown and brother, G.E. Gannaway.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Jeanie Shipley of St. George, Utah and Earl and Judy Shipley of Ringgold; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 6-9 p.m. and Friday until funeral time at the funeral home.
