Neida Mae Scudgins, 60 of Soddy Daisy died on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
She was born in East Ridge to the late Buster and Kathryn Irwin and had lived in the Chattanooga and Soddy Daisy areas for most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Scudgins; daughter, Davona Green; grandson, Hayden Avery Mullins; great granddaughter, Alaina Skidmore; brother, Kenneth Irwin and sister, Wanda Irwin.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Scudgins and (Jamie Garrett) of Ringgold; step daughter, Tammy and (Chip) Hills of Red Bank; five grandchildren, Hunter and (Ashley) Presnell, Hailey Mullins, Brenden Mullins, Chris and (Samantha) Skidmore and Tia Skidmore; four great-grandchildren; lifelong friend, Karen Pope and numerous extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 1–5 p.m. at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel.
