Play Along With The CSO For Community Musicians Is May 3

The CSO is inviting community musicians to join professional musicians onstage in the 3rd annual Play Along With The CSO. The event will take place on Sunday, May 3, from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Market.  

Musicians are invited to perform in one of three different performance times, which will take place at 1, 2 and 3 p.m.  Open positions include violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, timpani, and percussion. Play Along registration is $35 and includes a T-shirt, music, and the opportunity to have coaching in advance with a CSO musician.  

Music to be performed includes: 
BIZET: “Carillon” from L’arlessiene
SOUSA: “Liberty Bell”
WILLIAMS: Selections from E.T. the Extra Terrestrial
STRAUSS: Radetzky March 

All performances are free to watch for Chattanooga Market attendees.  

Members of the CSOYO ensembles will be performing inside the First Tennessee Pavilion at 11:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. The CSO will also present an instrument ‘petting zoo’ from 1-3:30 p.m. inside the Pavilion with assistance from Lee University’s Sigma Alpha Iota and Phi Mu Alpha chapters.
