TWRA To Be Part Of Nature Fest

  • Monday, March 30, 2015

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will again be part of the Nature Fest held on Tuesday, April 16 through Friday, April 19 at Pennebaker Hall on the Tennessee Tech University campus. The event highlights the wonderful, natural diversity found on the Cumberland Plateau through lectures, hikes and hands-on activities. The event is free and great for families.

Now in its 11th year, Nature Fest is organized by TN Tech Department of Biology, Cookeville, Leisure Services and TWRA.

Presentations will include live birds of prey, wildflower walks, snakes and woodcarving. If that’s not enough, check out the exotic insects, go on a night hike or learn what actually is “under that rock”. TWRA biologists will have a wildlife exhibit and be on hand to answer questions. TWRA biologist, Mark Thurman will also be presenting information on TN salamanders.
