Laura Josephine Moyers (Jo) was born July 16, 1929, to Joseph Alexander Moyers and Laura Grant Moyers in Rhea County, Tennessee. She was the youngest of 10 children Velma, Lloyd, Irene, Parlie, Loma, Edna, Frank, Parker, and Ruth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walter A. Alley, Jr. from Spring City, TN, and their children and their spouses: Bob and Pat Alley, Vickie and David Hawkins, Ron and Jean Alley, Valarie and Ron Frank, Vivian and Andy Powell, and Reggie and Jeanne Alley.  She is also survived by their 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Many will remember her by her involvement in Accent House, House of Weddings and serving people through hospitality and church ministries.

Jo was a virtuous and capable wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was more precious than rubies. Her husband trusted her and she greatly enriched his life. She brought good and not harm to all who knew her. Her family rises up and calls her blessed.
