  • Tuesday, April 28, 2015

The Signal Centers has been chosen to be the initial operator for the Berke Administration's Baby University.

The cost over a 12-month period will be $250,000.

There will be an option to renew for two additional years for the program designed for babies from zero to two years old.

The mission of Baby University is "to coach families to effectively prepare children for long-term success."

Signal Centers plans to work with partnering agencies with families in the East Side and East Lake areas.

At one point in the afternoon, council members were told the amount would be $325,000. However, City Attorney Wade Hinton said the correct amount was $250,000.
