Magdalene Wilcoxon, 86, of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday May 17, 2015 at the family residence.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Parlie Taylor Wilcoxon; and was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Black;her brothers, William “Bud” Wilcoxon and Jr. Wilcoxon; a nephew, Albert Wilcoxon; and a special friend, Fred Franklin.
Ms. Wilcoxon was a member of the Ball Play Baptist Church.
Survivors include her siblings, Mae Belle Wilcoxon and John Wilcoxon both of Old Fort; nieces, Ruby Nix of Old Fort, Darlene Woodhouse of Cleveland, Trudy Talley of Old Fort, Suzie Wilcoxon of Cleveland, Sheila Gulledge of Old Fort, Mary Lou Davis and Essie Duncan both of Old Fort; her nephews, Jimmy Black, Mac, David, Tommy, Bobby and Tracy Wilcoxon all of Old Fort; and several great-nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 at Ball Play Baptist church with Pastor Matthew Harris, Rev. Carl Haulk and Rev. Terry Webb officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery with Mac Wilcoxon, Donald Wilson, Tracy Wilcoxon, Randy Yates, Alvin Nix and Jamie Black serving as casket bearers.
