Marie Simpson, 83, died on May 2, 2015.
She was born to the union of John W. and Kate Jackson on May 21, 1931 in Decatur, Al.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Y. Simpson; four sisters, Margaret Pope, Hartselle, Al.; Margie (Artis) Matthews, Mulga, Al.; Merlene (Lesley) Foster, Chattanooga, and Ann (Ben) Britt, Fairfield, Ca.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at noon in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Careathers officiating.
The body will lie in state after 12 p.m. on Wednesday at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
