Fingerprint evidence has led to the arrest of a man who is on probation for a prior burglary and picked up another one last August.

Mark Anthony Malone, 27, of 3412 4th Ave., is facing new charge of aggravated burglary.

He was given a three-year prison sentence for aggravated burglary in May 2012, but it was suspended.

In this case, Antonio Francisco said when he returned from work to his home on S. Hawthorne St. he found that the window screen that is above the kitchen sink at the rear of the house was partially off.

The burglar apparently stood on a heating and air conditioning unit to reach the window and get in it.

A glass jar that contained about $150 in change was taken.

A roommate had a metal cookie jar with about $100 in quarters. The jar was found empty on his bed.

Police lifted nine fingerprints from the metal cookie jar. One of those came back as belonging to Malone.
