Several Street Closures Scheduled For May 8-11

There will be several downtown street closures from May 8-11.  They are listed below.

 

Friday, May 8  

Nightfall will take place from 5:30-11 p.m.  Market Street from 10th Street to 8th Street will be closed, Martin Luther King Boulevard from Broad Street to Georgia Avenue will be closed, and Cherry Street from ML King to 8th Street.  Please visit http://www.nightfallchattanooga.com/ for more information and the music lineup. 

 

Saturday, May 9 

The Scenic City Art Car Parade will take place from 12-1 p.m.  The parade will consist of a series of rolling closures led by CPD officers and will begin on Broad Street at 4th Street.  The parade will continue down Broad and make a left on Main Street, down Rossville Avenue and disperse on Wilhoit Street. 

 

Sunday, May 10 

Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance of the skate park to 19th Street for the Chattanooga Market.  Closure will be from 6 a.m.-8 p.m

 

Aggressive driving for the Volkswagen Video Shoot will take place around Volkswagen Drive between the hours of 8-11 a.m. and 12:30-5 p.m.  There will be short, temporary closures conducted by CPD officers.  Please use caution and watch for officers directing traffic in the area.

 

Monday, May 11 

CPD officers will be conducting a series of rolling closures throughout the downtown area between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.  Please use caution and abide by all traffic laws.
