Twanna Mae Ritchie, 40, was arrested on Saturday for an aggravated burglary in which the homeowner used a handgun to defend his home.
The responding officer reported that when he arrived at a residence on Dolores Drive, he found the homeowner, Jonathan Miller, 26, holding the suspect at gunpoint outside.
Mr.
Miller’s girlfriend, Loren Pierce, 24, said that when they returned home she went into a bedroom and discovered that someone appeared to have gone through her bag. She then noticed Ms. Ritchie lying on the floor in the same room.
Ms. Pierce stated that she then screamed and the defendant lunged at her while saying that she knows Mr. Miller. Ms. Pierce fled the room fearing for her safety while Mr. Miller responded to her screams by grabbing his handgun before confronting the defendant.
He then held Ms. Ritchie at gunpoint and demanded that she exit the residence where she was held until authorities arrived.
It is unclear how the defendant gained access to the home, but the officer reported that it became clear while talking to her that she was highly impaired on some unknown narcotic. She is known to have a history of methamphetamine use.
Ms. Ritchie was transported to Memorial North Park Hospital by HCEMS where she stated to the officer that she was “guided to the house by the god with secret ways."
She also said the house didn’t really belong to Mr. Miller and that “the secret man gave her permission to be inside the house."
