Body Found In Lake At Rollins Park At Dalton On Friday Identified As Raul Juan, 13

A body found on Friday at Al Rollins Park in Dalton has been identified as Raul Juan, 13, of Whitfield County. The GBI crime lab used dental records to identify the body. 

The cause of death was drowning. Nothing found either at the scene of the drowning nor during the autopsy suggests any foul play. 

Raul was reported missing to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 6 a.m. on Friday when his mother woke up and saw that he was not home.

She reported that she last saw him at home at approximately 1 a.m. DPD detectives are investigating to determine what he was doing during the early morning hours before he drowned.
