Crawford Roy Burns Sr., 76, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
Crawford was a retired truck driver and an avid nascar fan.
Crawford was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lillie Mae and Joe Burns; and one brother, Joe Edward Burns.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beverly Hooper Burns; two children, Crawford (Carolinda) Burns Jr. and Lisa (Kenny) Lee; grandchildren, Kendra Michelle Lee and Kyra (Matt) Peardon, both of Chattanooga and Brandon Burns and Brette (Chris) Schroll, both of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Peardon, of Chattanooga; sister, Rosella Ratcliff; brother-in-law Jack Hooper; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank very special and loving neighbors and close friends as well as the loving care received from the staff of Avalon Hospice of Athens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avalon Hospice of Athens.
A memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. on Wednesday June 3, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW.
The family will be receiving friends two hours prior from 5-7 p.m. service time.
