Construction Supply Store Opens On Riverside Drive

  • Friday, June 5, 2015
Green’s Eco Build & Design will sell locally sourced and environmentally friendly home building supplies from a new storefront located at 1510 Riverside Dr.

Officials said, "Representing environmental stewardship, economy, health, and efficiency, Green’s offers superior quality products in one convenient location while maintaining competitive prices with big box stores."  Owned and operated by local contractor and master plumber Tyler Smith and architect Sam Young, their overarching goal is to make it easy to shop smart.

“As a contractor, I understand the importance of shopping efficiently for both time and budget,” Mr.
Smith said, “but that doesn’t mean you must neglect the environment and health.  Green’s provides a one stop shop to buy all your products – from lumber to paint to cabinetry – while keeping toxins as low as possible.”

Products include Mythic non-toxic paint, made in the U.S, and StonePeak high-tech porcelain tile from Crossville, Tn.

Along with environmental standards, Green’s also chooses resources close to home. Placing a priority on local, regional and domestic vendors, more than 90 percent of their products are made in the U.S.

“Chattanooga thrives on local business and products, and now Green’s gives people the opportunity to support regional businesses with raw materials and products to use in their homes,” Mr. Young said. “Whether you’re renovating or starting from scratch, we can help you create the space of your dreams while supporting the people in our community.”

"Not only does Green’s provide all the products needed to start your next construction project, but open workspace is also available for free to homebuilders, contractors, designers, architects and do-it-yourself enthusiasts," officials said.

Green’s is open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and on Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
