An 11-year-old girl was critically injured Tuesday morning in an accident on Interstate 75.
Just before 10 a.m., Bradley County EMS responded to a serious accident on the interstate at mile marker 22 in the southbound lanes. Initial reports were that a pick-up truck had struck an 18-wheeler truck.
When EMS personnel arrived, they found a pick-up truck with extensive damage and the girl lying on the roadway.
Bradley County EMS responded with two ambulances and a paramedic supervisor.
Responders treated the girl who had suffered life-threatening injuries. She was
transported by emergency traffic to Children’s Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga.
No other details are available at this time. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of the investigation.
