City Council Passes Anti-Discrimination Ordinance On 2nd Reading

  • Wednesday, July 22, 2015

The City Council on Tuesday night passed the anti-discrimination ordinance with only Ken Smith and Larry Grohn opposed.

Charles Wysong, president of American Rights Coalition, said, “We are making a call for the God-fearing people in and around Chattanooga to pray.  What responsible person would vote for an ordinance that allows deviant men to go into the city’s women’s bathrooms?

“There is no question that the Chattanooga City Council is out of touch with the people of this City. After this terrorist tragedy, when we all need to pull together, they are out here creating divides and friction. At a time in our city when the youth need a return to virtue, the City Council is setting the stage for every man to do that which is right in his own eyes”

“We were very grateful last night to see Councilmen Larry Grohn and Ken Smith vote against the ordinance. We are thankful that they refused to go along with the mayor and the rest of the Council,” said Johnny McCollum.
