Henry Cho, a comedian who is a Christian, performed before a capacity crowd at Silverdale Baptist ChurchWednesday evening. Cho's performance was part of a night to raise funds for the church's new Family Care Ministry, designed to aid families with small children who undergo a catastrophic event. The ministry aims to provide these families that may have to have young ones airlifted for medical care at a moment's notice with bags containing, among other things, a gift card for gas and emergency expenses, a phone card and other items.
Mr.
Cho, a comedian for over 29 years, has been a performer on NBC's The
Tonight Show, CBS' The Late, Late Show, NBC's The Young Comedians Special and is currently a regular on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry and Sirius/XM's Blue Collar Comedy channel. He is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Prior to the show, which was opened by up-and-coming comedian Brian Bates, the ministry held a fund-raiser dinner at the church. Fazoli's Restaurant donated the food at a discounted rate for the event.
