Naturalization Ceremony Held Wednesday In Chattanooga

  • Thursday, July 23, 2015

Judge Sandy Mattice swore in individuals from all over the globe as new American citizens on Wednesday.

Two chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution were at the ceremony. Judge David Campbell welcomed them during the ceremony and they were further welcomed as new citizens by the Nancy Ward Chapter of the DAR.

Red and blue punch as well as cookies were shared and pictures were taken.

One gentleman shared the thought that his old country was okay, but in America you could share ideas and speak without fear of reprisals.

The DAR is present at each of theses ceremonies to welcome the new citizens. It is a part of their commitment to the community.

For more information on DAR visit the national website or contact Nancy Henderson at 838-0870.
