Jon Thomas Braddock, resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama, known to his family and friends as "Tom", died on August 5, 2015, surrounded by his family.
A Chattanooga native and 1967 graduate of Central High School, Tom studied at the University of Tennessee and served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne Division, serving stateside during the Vietnam War. Through the years, Tom enjoyed playing golf with his father, his brother and his son. He also took great pleasure in writing and playing music for guitar. He was a member of the Shriner's organization and 33rd degree Mason.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Houston Thomas Braddock.
He is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Tanya Braddock, Foley, AL; two daughters, Brandy Gunnels, Foley AL and Brittany Crowe, Prattville, AL; his son, Jonathan Braddock, Gulf Shores, AL; his mother, Mary Braddock Carter, Chattanooga; two sisters, Rebecca Braddock, Chattanooga, and Beth Warren, Lookout Mountain, GA; his brother, Jimmy Braddock, Columbia, SC; six grandchildren, four nieces, and his beloved dog and companion, Pinky.
A private service was held on August 10, Tom's 66th birthday, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to your local Hospice.
