The green Ford F-150 truck has stolen one boat from a city resident, one boat from a county resident, and a V-Nose enclosed trailer from the county in the north Hixson area.
Police said over the past several weeks the city and county have seen multiple thefts of trailers, boats on trailers, and trailers holding large construction equipment. The Chattanooga Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s assistance with any information concerning these types of thefts.
Additionally, if a community member owns any type of trailer or boat, police urge them to make sure they have these vehicles and conveyances secured adequately. Police encourage owners to place an identifying mark, or marks, somewhere in a hidden spot which only the owner would know the location of. These secret identifying marks help to identify the vehicle or conveyance in the event the serial number is removed.
