Atherton Decides To Grant Divorce After All

Chancellor Jeffrey Atherton has put down an order saying he has decided to grant a contested divorce after all.

The judge, after hearing several days of testimony, first said it appeared that the U.S. Supreme Court, in its ruling affirming gay marriage, had precluded state judges from handling contested divorces.

In his new order, he said that portion of his prior order should be voided.
