Jurors From Chattanooga Will Hear Retrial Of Vanderbilt Rape Case

Jurors from Chattanooga will go to Nashville to hear a retrial of rape charges against two former Vanderbilt football players.

Judge Monte Watkins on Friday granted a motion to hear the charges that the players sexually assaulted an unconscious female student in June 2013.

The selection process for the retrial of Cory Batey and Brandon Vandenburg will be in Chattanooga.

The jurors will stay in Nashville until the trial is over.
 
The trial is set for Nov. 30.
 
The defendants were convicted in the first trial, but the verdicts were thrown out on grounds of juror misconduct.
