A man who said he was lured to an East Ridge motel by a female said he was shot by one of two men in the room armed with handguns, then he cut one of the men with a knife.
Shortly after 9 a.m. Sunday, East Ridge Police responded to the Crown Inn at 6642 Ringgold Road. on a report of shots fired and a large amount of blood in a room.
As police arrived on the scene, Parkridge East Hospital called to report that a white male had arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the right calf.
The victim reported that he met an acquaintance who invited him to her room.
After entering the room, an unknown white male and black male produced handguns and demanded money.
The white male suspect fired a round striking the victim in the calf. The victim produced a knife and stabbed the white suspect several times in the chest. The victim then fled the room en route to the hospital.
When police arrived at the motel, no suspects were on the scene. Police are still investigating.
