Business and community leaders will come together to honor local heroes at the CHI Memorial Heroes Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chattanoogan Hotel. Lt. Commander Tim White, commanding officer of the Navy Operational Support Center of Chattanooga, will be the keynote speaker.
Each year, the American Red Cross of Southeast Tennessee honors individuals and groups for acts of great bravery, dedication and service to the community at the Heroes Luncheon, sharing the mission of the American Red Cross and raising the financial funding resources necessary to provide their core humanitarian services. This year, six individuals will be honored in four categories for their service to the community:
Conner Pearce, First Responder Hero
Macy Howell, First Responder Hero
Jason Greer, Humanitarian Hero
Amy Dickerson, Medical Hero
Jacob Gray, Youth Hero
Mason Chamberlain, Youth Hero
Lt. Commander Tim White will be the keynote speaker. Lt. Commander White serves as commanding officer of the Navy Operational Support Center of Chattanooga. With his 13 years in the Navy, he has served in several command positions, and as evidenced on July 16, has risked everything to preserve the life of those he is charged to protect.
“CHI Memorial is thrilled to support the mission of the American Red Cross at this year’s Heroes Luncheon as we honor those who serve and protect our community,” said Lisa McCluskey, VP of Marketing and Communications at CHI Memorial. “The American Red Cross plays a vital role in Southeast Tennessee, and we look forward to celebrating their mission on Oct. 14.”
