Since April, 2014 the Carisch family have been traveling around the world, Brian and Tracey leading their three daughters on the journey of a lifetime. The Chattanooga family set a goal to travel around the world and volunteer in the countries they would visit.

The public can join the Carisch family and WTCI, Chattanooga’s community PBS station, at the Granfaloon and Event Venue on Main Street for an evening presentation on Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. Ms. Carisch, former managing director of the Southeastern Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub, and Mr. Carisch, an independent software engineer, will talk about their family’s experience and share photography from around the world.

Visit www.100waystochangetheworld.com to enjoy the experiences, stories and images from this adventure and follow a Chattanooga family through 25 countries and five continents.  “We want to share a little bit about the paradigm shift our family has had.  By stepping away from our modern American life for a while, we’ve discovered a lot of things we want to change in the ways that we function as a family in our community,” said Ms. Carisch.

“As WTCI board member, Tracey Carisch brought her dynamic energy and vision to our station’s mission. We are grateful for this opportunity to celebrate her family and WTCI with a unique reflection of ‘the one place that can take you anyplace,’” said President and CEO Paul Grove.

The event will benefit WTCI and is sponsored by Balance Studios, Jay Perry Attorney at Law, Mustang Leadership Partners, Osprey, Peak Fitness and Physical Therapy, Rock Creek, Society of Work and Torch.  “This event is a great way to support our PBS station and the quality, trusted programs that make the world a bigger place for our community and our families,” said Richard Johnson, VP of Development at WTCI.

The meet and greet will feature food and drink specials and the presentation will begin at 8 p.m. with a question and answer session to follow. The Granfalloon is at 400 East Main Street, Chattanooga, and is a venue for the community to collaborate, eat, drink, listen and be heard. The coffee shop and café by day and bar and entertainment venue by night, hosts a variety of talent ranging from music, film, art, poetry, improv, and community events. Seating is limited.
