Haskell “Hack” Allison, 75, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the family residence.
Hack was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Joyce Allison; and his mother, Melissa Estelle Allison Swafford.
He was retired from the Hamilton County Road Department with over 25 years of service as a diesel mechanic and he attended Maple Grove Baptist Church. He loved dirt track racing and would go wherever there was a race. But most of all he loved his children and grandbabies.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Elliott and her husband Chris of Georgetown; his sons, John “Bo” Allison and his wife Melissa of Decatur and Robert Powell and his wife Nola of Bradenton FL; his grandchildren, Michael and Hunter Elliott, Monica and John Allison, Jasmine and Ryan Agnew, Paula Powell, Mathew Mangone, Lisa Walton and Madelyn Eaton; his sisters, Lucille and W.J. Posey of Georgetown, Jewell Frazier of Birchwood, Icyle Shadden of Chattanooga, Mary Sue McKinny of Ooltewah, Linda Beavers of Harrison, Freida and Ronald Stevison of Cleveland, Chris and Wendi Swafford of Georgetown; a special nephew, Tommy Prueitt; his best friend, Butch Hood; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating. The interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery with Tommy Pruiett, Jeremy Pruiett, Rusty Hood, Shane Hughes, Kendal Clayton and Johnny Ray Goodner serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Hack’s grandsons.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 31 from 3-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
