Betty Jane Ketchem, 75, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Smith; mother, Opel Smith; brother, Kenneth Smith; and son, Kevin Scott Ketchem.
She was a member of McFarland Hills Baptist Church.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Herman Paul Ketchem; daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Jeff Carter of Dalton; son & daughter-in-law, Paul Keith & Tonya Smith Ketchem of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Rachael Schoffield of Rocky Face; brother & sister-in-law, Randal & Cheynetta Smith of Dalton; grandchildren, Kristie Jane Ketchem, Heather Nicole Flener and Kevin Drake Carter; great-grandchild, Leihum Grae Flener; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-9 p.m.
