Woman Injured In Traffic Incident On West 40th Street Tuesday Morning

A woman was injured Tuesday morning when she veered around a spilled dumpster and plowed through several power poles.

The incident happened near the St. Elmo post office on West 40th Street.  It left the dumpster from a metal truck in the middle of the street and several power lines down.

The woman's vehicle wound up in front of the St. Elmo Recreation Center.  She was talking after the incident and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
