English pop-rock band The 1975, touring in support of their latest album “I Like It When You Sleep for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It,” played a sold out show at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Tuesday night.
The band played a twenty-two song set, consisting of songs from their latest album like “Loving Someone,” “Somebody Else,” and “She’s American,” as well as classics of theirs from their 2013 self-titled album like “Robbers” and “Chocolate.” They even included songs like “Undo” and “fallingforyou” from their earlier EPs for the diehard fans, who all seemed to be in attendance Tuesday night.
The band is fronted by singer Matty Healy, who definitely plays along by shifting into the smooth stage man persona for the audience. From sipping on a glass of wine, to kissing a girl in the front row in the middle of song, he’s certainly mastered the art of being a proper rockstar.
Not wanting to lose the intimacy of such a venue, midway through the show Healy asked everyone to sit down, put their phones away, and just listen to the music for one song.
The U.S.
part of their tour continues into December and finishes in Florida. They’ll make a stop in Tennessee on November 30 to play the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville. Tickets are still available online.
