Bone Dry Chattanooga May Finally Get Rain Over Next Few Days

Chattanooga may finally get rain over the next few days to break the long drought. 

After many weeks without precipitation and numerous costly wildfires, showers are in the forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

After a clear weekend, the forecast is:

Monday

A 30-percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 66. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
 
Monday Night

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 7 p.m.
Low around 55. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
 
Tuesday
 
Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then a chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 73. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
 
Tuesday Night
 
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
 
Wednesday
 
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 65. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
 
Wednesday Night
 
A chance of showers before 1am, then a slight chance of rain after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
