The International Crane Foundation, ICF, based in Wisconsin, has been studying and advocating for cranes for 40 years.  There will be a special presentation from Lizzie Condon, Keeping Whooping Cranes Safe coordinator, at the Tennessee Aquarium on Monday, Jan. 16, from 2-3 p.m.

Ms. Condon will be speaking about crane conservation efforts and how the ICF applies scientific knowledge to provide working conservation solutions. She will give a brief overview of the history of whooping crane populations and human efforts to bring this species back from the brink of extinction.

Ms. Condon is working to create communities that give a "whoop about whooping cranes" through using social marketing tactics to raise awareness and pride in these birds.

Hope the Whooping Crane mascot will be there before and after the presentation.

Admission to the talk is free with Aquarium admission.
