John Lenard Arthur, 75, died on December 2, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Arthur retired from Miller Industries, he was a member of VFW, American Legion Post #95, and he loved to play Santa Clause.
He was preceded in death by his parents; A.A. and Lula Arthur, son; Anthony “Tony” Arthur, brother; William “Bill” Arthur, sister; Ida Mae Bailey.
Mr. Arthur is survived by his sons, Tim Arthur, East Ridge, Danny Arthur, Birchwood; daughters, Cheryl Arthur and Mitzi Matthews of Chattanooga; sister, Janie Bingham, Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren, Maranda Lowe, Patrick, Johnathan, and Brandon Arthur, Justin Durham and Jennifer Williams, several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 5, from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Following visitation there will be a private family memorial service.
