City Public Works Lee Norris is headed for the county.
Mr. Norris said he is retiring as city public works administrator.
County Mayor Jim Coppinger has named him administrator of general services for the county.
That is the post held by Don Allen, who recently retired.
The County Commission will vote on the appointment next Wednesday.
