A friend and former co-worker who is also a local history buff submitted a photograph of the Sinclair service station when it sold the Cities Services brand. The proprietor was John Brown.
We're still interested in a photograph from the gas station's Sinclair years. You may recall that Sinclair's logo featured a green dinosaur. Sinclair also sponsored a dinosaur exhibit at the 1964 New York World's Fair. The exhibit was then put on tour with a stop outside Eastgate Mall.
In response to my 2014 article "Former Fuel Fillers of Hixson Pike" (http://www.chattanoogan.com/2014/1/26/268262/Remembering-Former-Fuel-Fillers-Along.aspx), a reader sent an e-mail asking for a photo of the Sinclair service station that was at the corner of Hixson Pike and Lupton Drive. The proprietor was John Sheets. Today, the site is a parking lot for Lupton Drive Baptist Church.
