Woman Shot Inside Her Chattanooga Home From Bullet Fired From Outside

A woman was shot inside her house in the Highway 58 area early Thursday morning. Police said the bullet was fired from outside the home.

Yvonntta Hood, 41, was shot in the foot.

Chattanooga Police responded to the report of shots fired in the 4100 block of Wilkesview Dr. at 2:45 a.m. Wilkesview Drive is near Highway 58 and Highway 153.

At the house police located one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment by Hamilton County EMS.

The victim provided limited information and did not identify a suspect.

Police said no suspect or suspect vehicle information is available.

Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes Investigators are following all leads.
