Top performing Hamilton County Schools were honored at Thursday night's County School Board meeting.
Dr. Sharon Harper with the Tennessee Department of Education – Southeast Core Office – presented banners to the following Reward Schools. These schools were in the top five percent across the state in either performance / achievement or progress / growth for the 2014-15 school year:
· Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts (Performance)
· Collegiate High (Performance)
· Daisy Elementary (Progress)
· Eastside Elementary (Progress)
· Lookout Mountain Elementary (Performance)
· Thrasher Elementary (Performance)
The following schools also received recognition from Dr. Harper in the form of certificates for the following outstanding successes in 2014-15:
