Gig City Productions will present Scott Miller and The Commonwealth's Ladies Auxiliary on Sunday, April 16, at the The Camp House.

Review for Scott Miller:

Friends and frequent opener for Patty Griffin, Scott Miller is a songwriter’s songwriter. Ever since Steve Earle declared Miller a "world class" songwriter, signing him and his former band The V-Roys to his record label E-Squared and producing their two bedrock Americana albums Just Add Ice and All About Town with Twangtrust partner Ray Kennedy, Miller has been filling listening rooms around the world.

The last two years have seen big changes for Miller who moved home to take over the family cattle farm and establish a new touring base from his hometown of Staunton, Va. During this time of transition and scaled down touring, Miller teamed up with old-time fiddle maven Rayna Gellert adding another sonic layer to Miller's newest CD, the Doug Lancio-produced Big Big World, Â  F.A.Y. Recordings.

Miller recently collaborated with filmmaker James Weems and photographer Glen Rose to produce the mini-documentary Going Home which explores Miller's personal and musical journey since returning to the family farm.

Miller's avid fans will realize that the title phrase points to the artist's new musical horizons, stretching beyond any of his previous works and reflecting his significant growth as a songwriter. "History is my jam," said Miller. "The story is already there and all you need to do is find some connection with it and try to connect that to the listener."

Doors start at 7 p.m.. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and available here
