Man, 30, Shot Twice In The Back In Drive-By On Orchard Knob Avenue

Chattanooga Police said a man was shot twice in the back in a drive-by on Orchard Knob Avenue Sunday night.

The victim was Demetris Ellison, 30.

Police were advised by a local hospital that a victim suffering from two non-life threatening gunshot wounds arrived by personal vehicle for treatment. Police learned from the victim that the shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Orchard Knob Avenue.

The victim was in a vehicle traveling north on Orchard Knob Avenue. The suspect(s) were in a vehicle traveling south on Orchard Knob Avenue.

The suspects fired multiple rounds at the victim's vehicle as they passed one another, striking the victim twice in the back. The victim drove himself to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim was unable to give any suspect information.

Chattanooga Police Violent Crimes Bureau investigators continue to follow all actionable leads.
