Final Charity Announced For Riverbend Festival Boat Slips

  • Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Riverbend Festival is almost here and Erwin Marine Riverfront still has a few slips left to rent for the event.

This year, Erwin Marine Riverfront announced the launch of an online “Ebay for Charity” auction for the rental of the riverfront boat slips during the 10-day event to maximize the Riverbend experience for more boaters, including out-of-town boaters.

The first two auctions for slip rentals resulted in a donation of more than $9,000 to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Erwin Marine will launch the third and final charity auction for remaining slips on May 19. Most slips are available for the first of the two weekends during the festival and will be auctioned as “Package A” (Friday-Tuesday, June 10-14). There a very limited number of slips available for the last weekend of Riverbend (auctioned as “Package B”, Tuesday-Sunday, June 14-18).

Of the slips still available, some are located near the main Riverbend stage. The other slips are available at the new city of Chattanooga Marina, just down river of the event. As well as slips up to 50 foot, these slips include space for smaller boats including runabouts, pontoons, or small cruisers up to 9 foot wide at a low starting bid.
