Shaunquan Walker
Timothy Green told police he was stabbed by Shaunquan Walker, 23, while walking toward the
Salvation Army at 800 McCallie Ave. on Thursday.
Mr. Green said the suspect had his dog by leash in one hand and a knife in the other. He said when
Walker’s dog started to bark and attempted to bite him, the incident escalated.
Walker placed his belongings down and came at him with a knife, the victim told police. Mr. Green
said after he slipped on gravel rocks and fell to the ground in the Salvation Army parking lot, the
suspect stabbed him through the forearm.
Police said Mr.
Green had two visible wounds on his left forearm.
Officers said when they arrived on the scene, Walker was standing at the front of the Salvation Army with a knife in his hand and refused to comply with orders to drop the knife and get on the ground.
After a taser was unsuccessfully deployed, Walker escaped on foot, police said.
They said he was stopped several blocks away and taken into custody with the assistance of K-9.
Walker has been charged with aggravated assault.
