Betty Varner Wingo, 89, of Chattanooga, died with her family surrounding her. 

She was known as “Cowboy” at Standard Coosa Thatcher where she dedicated 44 years of service.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Calvin Wingo Sr.; children, Larry and Jan Wingo of Texas, Belinda and Brian Heath of Kentucky, Calvin Wingo, Jr. of Galville, Al., Gary and Brenda Wingo of Charleston, Tn., Rita Sue Taylor, of Chattanooga, Jon Wingo and Terri Wingo of Whitwell, Kelly and Steve Sharber of Cedar Bluff, Al., David Wingo; and her lifelong friends, Myrtle Jeffery of Chattanooga and Kim and Eddie Dodd, of Red Bank.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace with Pastor Eric Greason and Pastor Don Kelly officiating. 

Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. 

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, 423 877-3524.
