Rep. Mike Carter Names Campaign Team And Announces Kickoff

  • Wednesday, June 1, 2016

Rep. Mike Carter announced to the Pachyderm Club of Hamilton County that he will be seeking re-election for the District 29 state representative seat. Citing the work accomplished in the last legislative session, Rep. Carter believes there is still more work to be done on behalf of the voters.

The elimination of the Hall Income Tax and stopping forced annexation in unincorporated areas of Hamilton County was a big win for the citizens of District 29, he said. “Now looking down the road, we must ensure quality broadband access across the district along with sanitary sewer systems, encouraging economic development in these areas without,” said Rep. Carter.

The Committee to Re-Elect Mike Carter announced its campaign team. The committee includes Jennifer McFarland as campaign manager, Angela Dowis as treasurer, former Rep. Bobby Wood as executive campaign advisor, Jonathan Mason as executive strategist, Phyllis Maynor as events coordinator, Patrick Hampton as executive community director and Dalton Temple as communication director.

The campaign reports that it will headquarter Rep. Carter’s campaign at 7331 Lee Hwy., formerly Dollar General, next to The Auto Shop. The campaign headquarters is in full operation.

The committee will be hosting a campaign kickoff at Wired Coffee, 9447 Bradmore Lane, Ste 101, Ooltewah, on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  Coffee, sweet treats and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
