Eleven Riverbend festival-goers were treated at Erlanger Hospital the first weekend of the annual festival for various injuries and medical conditions. Four adults attending the annual Bonnaroo Festival were also treated at Erlanger over the weekend.
Three patients were treated at Erlanger Hospital for heat-related conditions, including dehydration and fainting, five others suffered from facial fractures, ankle sprains, head injuries and lacerations to the face. Three individuals were treated at Erlanger North Hospital for complications related to diabetes and hypertension.
Only one of the eleven adults transported to Erlanger from Riverbend was admitted to the hospital, according to Erlanger’s Emergency Medicine Director, Dr. Rob Hamilton.
Four Bonnaroo festival-goers were brought to Erlanger’s Emergency Room over the weekend for treatment of pulmonary blood clots, complications from diabetes, and multi-drug overdoses. All four of those patients were admitted to the hospital.
