Ladarius Cross’s charge of attempted first-degree murder was dismissed on Monday due to identification issues.

Though Cross has a number of charges still pending, the attempted first-degree murder was his most serious.

Cross was arrested in 2012 for the July 4 Fagan Street shooting of George Dillard.

Dillard, a validated gang member, was shot and killed with Lakita Hicks in February of this year. A five-year-old who witnessed the murder called police to tell them his parents had been shot.
