Supporting Joanne Favors - And Response (2)

  • Tuesday, June 28, 2016

I am asking you to join me in voting for Rep. Joanne Favors as the state representative of the 28th Legislative District.  Rep. Favors epitomizes the dedication, desire, experience and the ability required to do what is needed for her constituents and others in the city, county and state of Tennessee.

We must always keep in mind that our votes really count, especially at the local level.  Those elected by us, like our state representatives, mayors, councilmen/women and commissioners, have a direct impact on our personal lives and where we live.

I have noticed that Rep. Favors is present at most community events I attend.  Her constituents and others know her, but most of all she knows them. I have learned over the years that Rep. Favors plays a major role in ensuring that indigent and charitable health care individuals have access to our county and community health care facilities. She also plays an important role at the state level on the Health Committee. By attending the “On the Hill with Representative Favors” each year, I have learned just how much other congressmen and women, on both sides of the isles, respect and admire Rep. Favors.  She works closely with them as well as with the lobbyists in meeting the needs of her constituents.

Rep. Favors has my trust, admiration and respect as a legislator.  I know that she will continue to sponsor and support legislation that is valued and needed by us, as her constituents.  She listens to what we are saying, she is observant and she knows our needs. Representative Favors fights for us every day in Nashville.

It’s time for us to get out and vote for her as our state representative.  I would like to urge you to vote early (July 15–30).  Early voting really counts and I’m counting on you to get out and vote for Rep. Joanne Favors as our state representative.

Rep. Joanne Favors is a keeper.   She truly represents everyone, regardless of their political ideology.

I always believed that the legislative process served only those with great resources in my younger days. I wrongly believed that an individual could not gain access to government for rule and law changes. That was until Rep. Favors.

I remember all those Republicans saying, “Joanne Favors will never get that bill past the judicial committee.” Today, that still makes me laugh so hard.

Rep. Joanne Favors redefined everything I believed that individuals could accomplish, and what being truly represented really means.

Great elected individuals make themselves available to the issue, regardless of party affiliation or prior political activities. Great elected people look through objective eyes and place issue over partisanship.

Rep. Favors is the master of looking at the subject matter and listening to everyone in their district and beyond, and being objective.

If you have compelling researched information, and a case to make for legislation. You will always get access to Rep. Favors, while the others may slam the door due to partisanship over public interest.

There are so many elected individuals that only grant access and represent citizens that share their ideology, and very few Joanne Favors.

Conservative on most days, and a Favors fan for life.  Vote Jo, Joanne Favors.

I am not in Joanne Favors' district but if I were I certainly would be voting for her and supporting her in any way I can.  She has been of considerable assistance to me on a matter of interest to the city population in years past and I appreciate her "jump in there and get it done" attitude.

Thank you, Ms. Favors.
