Congressman Chuck Fleischmann released the following statement after today's attack in Istanbul:
“I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack in Istanbul, and my prayers go out to the victims and their families. We have seen a disturbing pattern of radical Islamic terrorist attacks in Chattanooga, Brussels, Paris, San Bernardino, Orlando and unfortunately today in Istanbul. This is why I am urging the Senate to take immediate action on H.R. 5471—the Countering Terrorist Radicalization Act, which includes my bill to combat terrorist recruitment. It is critical that our global community take this threat seriously and work together to defeat terrorist organizations.”
