Jerry Wayne Denton
Jerry Wayne Denton, 72, of East Ridge, Tennessee, died on Thursday, June 30, 2016.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1943, in Chattanooga; he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ordrey and Ollie May Denton; sister, Ruth Goodson; brothers, Terry and Kenneth Denton.
He is survived by his brothers, Granville Denton, Jacksonville, AK, James Delon “J.D.”Denton, Charles “Chuck” Denton; sister, Vivian “Vickie” Pitts, all of Chattanooga; nieces, Tangie, Stephanie, Kim, Shannon, Lonnie, Chuckie, Charlene; nephews, Charles, Jerry, Joe, Kenny, Terry, Ordrey, David, Jeff, James, Jr.,Mark, Jerry, Joe and Kenny; special friends, Avery and Kisha Cheatham and J.J. Williams.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Benny Mills officiating.
