Knitting Mill Antiques Closing Aug. 7; Blowout Sale Set Aug. 12-15

The Knitting Mill Antiques has been sold and will be closing Aug. 7.

The antiques emporium started in 2003 by Lynn and Scott Short has been sold for $3,550,000.

Plans are to redevelop it for retail, restaurants and boutiques.

Foodworks Restaurant will continue to operate.

Knitting Mill Antiques will have a "blowout sale" on Aug. 12-15.

The historic building is the former Signal Knitting Mill.
