The County Commission on Wednesday rejected an idea to allow beer and wine at special events in county parks.  Commissioner Joe Graham made a motion to approve the idea from the county staff, but the motion died for lack of a second.

Lee Norris, county public works administrator, had recommended beer and wine sales at special events at Chester Frost Park, the Riverpark and Enterprise South Nature Park.  He also proposed setting up a Hamilton County Parks Special Events Coordinating Committee to regulate and oversee the special events.
